Displays at the Riyadh Aviation Museum

3. The de Havilland Canada DHC-1 Chipmunk

This is a dual, two-seat, single-engine main transport aircraft designed and manufactured by de Havilland Canada. It was built after World War II and replaced the de Havilland Tiger Moth biplane by selling in large quantities in the immediate postwar years.

4. Hawker Hunter F Mk60

Designed by Hawker Aircraft for the Royal Air Force in the late 1940s and early 1950s, the Mk60 Hawker Hunter is a British transonic jet-powered fighter aircraft. It was the first jet-powered aircraft created by Hawker Aircraft to be acquired by the RAF. One of the specialities of this fighter aircraft is that it was designed to use the newly developed Rolls-Royce Avon turbojet engine and the sweeping wing. On September 7, 1953, the improved original prototype broke the previous record with a speed of 727.63 mph.

5. Northrop F5-E

Developed by Northrop Corporation in the late 1950s, the Northrop F-5 is a series of supersonic light fighter jets. There are two primary models, the Freedom Fighter versions F-5A, and F-5B, and the heavily modified Tiger II variants F-5E and F-5F. Since it is smaller and simpler than other competitors, the F-5 is a popular export aircraft.
